This is a great idea! Now that the Socceroos (Australia) have qualified, many people are planning to head over.

I assume that the campsite will get booked out very quickly.... how will you guys handle all the reservations coming through after the draw? I will try and get in quick, but from looking at all the people on these boards, it looks like it will be hard to get in!!!

Berni, how many people do you expect to be staying at the campsite on any given day?

We don't want to base ourselves at your site if hardly anyone is there, and there's no craic/party.

We have 115 members by now. Of which aprox. 30 have pre-reserved accommodation for aprox. 100 campers. The caravans and guesthouse rooms are almost sold out.

The site with all its accommodation modes is for over 1000 people.

We were counting with 100 people, but due to massive interest we expect 200-500 campers.

Do you get the picture? :D

Ja...alles ist klar!

I'll send you a PM to confirm our booking for 3 people when i arrange flights/dates.

I can get cheap flights into Paderborn airport from Glasgow. Is it close enough for pickup? I can also get to Dusseldorf and Nuremberg airport....which do you reccommend?

Will there be a shuttle that could take us to the train station every morning and pick us up at night?

We are coming over between the 20th and 27th. We will be staying in hamburg on the 20th. This is the cheapest and by far the best accomodation we have found but we are planning on goibng all around germany in the days to watch different matches. What is the last trains that arrive into Bbad Hersfeld every night? The only thing that could put me of this campsite is the location and freedom of going around Germany.

I'll have a word with my lot about it tonight. How come you are from berlin when the camp site is Bad Hersfeld? 8)

if we've already booked a caravan, are there campgrounds around Germany to park it in to sleep at night?
