Just wanting to know any essentials that we will all need when we are camping. If anyone can think of anything useful to bring to help us all get by, add them on the list.

I'll start with the most obvious

The challenge for us arriving by plane and camping in our own tent is to avoid the dreaded excess baggage charges. According to BA I get 23 kgs, and they are being very strict due to the price of fuel increasing.
So I have got

Tent
Air Mattress
Sleeping Bag
Pump
Small Gas Burner
small folding Seat
Aluminium pots
Plate/Bowl/Cutlery
Lamp/Torch Combo
Bag to put it all in
Power Board

All up 18 KGs , and nothing to eat included or any clothes yet,

So if you see a hungry , naked man huddled in the corner of his tent, please take pity on him and throw a few bones his way.

Lucky you can buy beer on site or I would be totally stuffed.

ps

Does anyone have a fridge ???? Or is there some available at the campsite....

We are unable to use the sites refrigerator, but we have a refrigerator car and if there is space we will let you stuff your stuff in there when there is place. Bear in mind that it is small and we have a lot of beer and meat to keep cool, though.

As for extensive baggage i would suggest:

Toilet paper. Being an experienced camper I can tell you that no matter how clean the site when full there is always a shortage at some stage
