Amazing lack of comments on here regarding the future of England's national team, maybe apathy is the new sport of choice !!

really easy....
yep look at boro.... 7-0 away to arsenal, 4-0 home to villa ( thats aston villa , not to be mistaken with such european giants as villareall), fans trying to hit him on the tuft of hair with their season ticket books.... i mean he has done a great job at boro!
spent a packet and a carling cup to show for it
english press will have a field day.... give a few months and they'll be looking a foreign manager again! hehe

Good enough for me. Just hope he picks Big Sam or Curbo to work with him.

Built a club around its youth policy and able to field an entirely English team all local to the club. A fucking great achievement.
Funny, you didn't mention when they hammered United. He may have spent some money - but he's done it wisely. Something a notable other English candidate couldn't claim to have done yet.
First ever trophy - in a climate where only the top 5 clubs claim trophies - UEFA cup final. Numerous acheivments with United and bucketloads of experience with the England squad.
Who else can offer that?

Agree with everything winnie says and beside look at the history everyone was cheering the arrival of Keegan and Ericsson and where has that got us, nobody seems to want this guy so he is bound to do better
