if there is air to breathe and an event involving tickets you can guarantee there will be touts, but watch out cos in Portugal last year they were charging £200 for the england france game! So better take a big wedge with you. Good Luck

Lads, lads, lads, and ladies for that matter. Please, please, please do not get sucked in to the touts mentality that if you want to get in you have to pay the price. Keep all those wedges of money for all that lovely beer. The reality is that, if you really want to get in, you can get in for face value or less. If you don't believe me take a look at my journals page.I got in nearly every game for face value or less. The only game I didn't get in to was Liverpool v Man U. I chose not to get into this game because I am currently writing a book about football and it suits the chapter on English football.
I have got in to Barcelona v Real Madrid for face value and England v Croatia. I paid over the top for England v Portugal only because I wanted to get in early to take some pictures for my book.
I paid €100 for a €55 ticket.
Please take a look at the games that I have been to,

I will start posting ways of beating the touts around about Easter please look out for them.I will also start posting my own little guides to Germany to.
Yours,
Steve Head

I dont see any tips for gettin in matches cheaper from that journal stephen but i'll take ur word for it :? ur right u can get tickets off touts for face value after match has started but who wants to miss the national anthems, they get the adrenaline goin and is a big part of the occasion for me. Does anyone know for sure that the tickets issed in Germany have ID on them n if they check up on it before u enter the grounds?? Ive heard all these pre tournament warnings before with how they gona clamp down on the black market but it never happens. Lets hope it doesnt this summer either as I dont wana spend 00s of £ then not bein able to get in !!

Post subject: ticket swap at fifa and stadiums
https://customerservice.fwctc.com/cgi-bin/css_wme?affiliate=wme&id=WME304021143646866N&doc=resale/uebertragung_info
The link above is to the rules governing ticket swap through their web site and at the stadiums, this i beleive is a good route if you buy from a tout. It states you can turn up at the stadium the day before and not on a match day and tranfer the ownership of the ticket. You can also do this by proxy, e.g. if you have a letter of consent, and some form of proof that the ticket was leagally obtained and you never paid more than face value.
By the way if you sell your spares back to fifa you get your money back, but if you buy a returned ticket they charge an extra 15%. Talk about bloody double standards on touting tickets, regardless of the admin cost its a money making exorcise because they know they have sold cheaply and given away too many tickets for free to make a profit from sales. I am sure you would have visited this site anyway looking for tickets and swaps but just in case.

tea and pig is talking shit i was at the france game and tickets were still changing hands 2 mins b4 the game for 400 euros.there was at least 10,000 fans outside the ground as demand far out ways supply so dont be fooled by his lack of knowledge if you want to watch england you can but you WILL PAY THROUGH THE NOSE.
By the way it is deffinately worth it.
i would advise staying at the camp site and watching it on the big screen and having a crack with the other nationalities.
WIN LOSE OR DRAW WERE ON THE PISS

I take it that Real Madrid v Barcelona and Barcelona v Real Madrid are shitty games as you put it.

Firstly I would like to point out that I am always in the stadium about an hour before kick off. I have to be to take the photos of Ted and Pig.
Secondly if you take a look at my original post you will see that I was going to let people know my secrets around about Easter time.
Well it's Easter now and I will be publishing an E.Book on my web site at the end of the week.
I would like to point out that my E.Book is not a magic formula for getting into high profile games. It's just a list of ways that I have used to get into those shitty games on my web site like Real Madrid v Barcelona and England v Portugal
Yours,
Steve Head

I agree largely with Ted and Pig, although I don't think you're always going to get face value, just a reasonable price, depending on the matchup. I've never been turned away from a match, and the most I ever paid was 100 quid for ManU v. Arsenal a couple year's ago (right before their FA Cup matchup the following week.) I determine what the match is worth to me, and that's what I expect to get. That match was so tight, touts were asking 4-500 quid, and of 5 or 6 I saw, only 1 had tix in hand! I nearly got a bloke to sell me his mate's at face, but the guy showed up at the last minute. I was about to give up as the match was starting when I decided to walk up to a ticket window (the ones at Highbury that have gates) and asked in my obviously-American accent, "how much would it cost someone who flew 8000 miles to go stand in the corner." He replied, "I'm afraid I can't let you do that, mate. But he's got a ticket if you want it." His co-worker at the next window sold me one he had for 100, which was my max.
Sometimes you gotta get creative, but if you really want, there's always a way in. The problem is, the touts have the obvious upper hand in these scenarios, because we, as fans, give it to them, with our frenzied passion. That's why you should treat it like gambling. Determine how much you're going to spend before you get to the venue, so you don't let your adrenaline once you're there determine your max value. If you don't get it, be prepared to walk away.

interesting info guys...
we are going to be in berlin for the final, and chances are we wont pick up any tickets thru fifa...but who knows.
either way, were probably going to try and scalp some tickets from somebody.
i agree that having a max amount that youd pay for a ticket is handy.
that way u wont get ripped off.
ill give u 50$ for a cat 1 seat for the final
hopefully we'll get a fair price so we can enjoy the footy final
