Bigotry is what your fans were singing about against Argentina, it's ye who are the bigots

But fair point that in recent years we get knocked out at the quarter finals, but hay, at least we get there! No wonder there's so many irish all over the world, they dont get to travel with there team thats for sure!   | I do agree with you that's it's your media's fault, they p!ss everyone off tbh. That's one of the reasons why I dislike ye so much, because ye are so confident and cocky it p!sses me off(Brazil are cocky too, but in fairness, they have the history and the players to back it up). I mean, just cos ye won the WC in 66 ye think yer fantastic. When all ye are are just a bunch of football hooligans supporting a bunch of overpaid journeymen on the field. Ye have a good squad with a lot of potential, but ye just cant seem to get them all to click, get rid of Sven and ye'll improve

Oh so the Argentinian team refusing to get off the bus until they finished their song about how gay the english are (as they have since 1958) and their song about the sinking of the Belgrano aren't bigotted???? And what is your problem can't you write a sentence without slagging off the English and do you feel that inferior that you won't even put a name OR LOCATION to your posts GUEST

Look, all I have to say is that England fans have brought this bad hooligans name on themselves. Every tournament there's loads of fights and riots etc. You dont really expect the Irish to have much respect for ye do ye? Not after what ye did to our ground in our last meeting, scumbags!. I know ye aren't all bad and I'm sure most of the England fans on here are ok but unfortunately it's the minority that lets the majority down the whole time. Good look in the World Cup but I will not be supporting ye, I will be supporting whatever team ye play, regardless of who it is.

We havn't had trouble since Germany away when we won 5-1! (Sorry germans ;-) ) But it's pathetic. We have this bad name when the FA have done wonders to stamp it out! We had no trouble in South Korea/Japan and non in portugal, Non in wales, non in northern Ireland, Non in Geneva, Non in Poland or Austria but you still call us Hooligans?

well said Boxy, don't know why people have to be so bitter. My hubby and I had a lovely afternoon in Lisbon drinking and chatting with a group of german supporters and a group of croatians the day after we beat croatia last june. That's how it should be people coming together to celebrate the beautiful game. :D

David Swift, the senior British officer advising the Portuguese authorities during Euro 2004, said the violence had nothing to do with the competition.
"What we have is English yobs getting drunk and disgracing the country. The connection with the game is non-existent."
The same trouble you get by drunk people at any holiday location AND BRITISH city!

'Nothing to do with football'.... aye right!
And i suppose the hundreds of arrests, firebombing of pubs and smashing up of Portuguese businesses back home in England had nothing to do with the football either?

I'm just glad that foreign fans are so well behaved. I mean I'd just hate it if our clubs went and played in Europe only to be pelted with coins and flares (or for those remembering last season a scooter at the San Siro).
It's easy to label English fans as hooligans because some are, as they are in other countries too. English stadiums are over policed and the least threatening in Europe. but hey, whats the problem with taring everyone with the same brush?

From where I am standing, this thread is tarnished with jealousy.
Sure we have a bad reputation, but thats all in the past. What matters now is the future
Every county has good and bad supporters, so verbal dribble from men in skirts and leprechauns just makes me smile......
English, Dutch, German, Turks, whatever.........most of it is hyped up by the media, and there is always 2 sides to every story.
You guys need to get out more........Oh, and I dont mean the World Cup!
he he he
I am sure all the English will gladly send you postcards when we travel round the World with our National side........
Oh boy, I wish I could see the looks on your faces if we DO manage to lift the trophy again!
